What I have gotten Into lately? And what I have discovered about my self??

Crystals, crystals, crystals…. and more crystals. So I have always loved them I mean who doesn’t something so beautiful made by earth? but not until recently have I actually been intrigued by them and discovering their true healing power. That and becoming a herbalist, I mean come on we live 100% off grid so why not step away from big pharma and the mainstream way of healing right??? Right!! It has been truly amazing seeing how open and I guess “woke” lol my husband and I have become yesterday I discovered I am a complete empath and so is he and I will do another blog on empath later but for right now let’s jump into this whole crystal world!! So it started out I just wanted some pretty ones around my house just for fun well two lead to four, lead to seven and some sage and a abalone shell 😁😂😂 each crystal puts out a vibration, a energy and at first I thought it was neat how cold and heavy they are but not until lately have I actually felt the vibration of them. So let’s jump into what I have and what each one does, and how I have woken up to the old world ways of healing and the little bit of magic that has blessed me from the great spirit (yes native American great spirit I am after all part Cherokee) ok so I have..

Smokey quartz: helps with negative energy
Smoky Quartz was known as a Stone of Power. To the ancient Druids, it was sacred and signified the potent dark power of Earth gods and goddesses. In other cultures it guided souls to the afterlife, served in shamanistic rituals and tribal ceremonies, and was utilized in magic and scrying to connect with spirits of the lower worlds. Smoky Quartz’s phenomenal power, then and now, lies in its ability to protect and ground one physically and spiritually to this world, and to absorb and transmute significant amounts of negative energy and release it into the Earth to be neutralized naturally. It provides a vital shield against psychic attack, emotional and environmental stress, and is used extensively in healing and meditation. Rose quartz my personal favorite:
Lowering stress and tension in the heart, Rose Quartzclears out anger, jealousy, and resentment of others, and allows healing of heart issues and dis-ease associated with holding on to such negative emotions. Known as a romance stone, Rose Quartz can be used to attract love.

(Now for some reason as I’m taking these pictures of my Crystal’s right now you can see a beam of light and rainbows lol I have no idea why it’s doing that but it’s pretty cool!!!! )

Amathyst:

Purple Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate, and soothe, the mind and emotions. It is a semi-precious stone in today’s classifications, but to the ancients it was a “Gem of Fire,” a Precious Stone worth, at times in history, as much as a Diamond. It has always been associated with February, the month the Romans dedicated to Neptune, their water-god, and is the traditional birthstone of that month. It is the stone of St. Valentine and faithful love, and signifies ecclesiastical dignity as the Bishop’s Stone. It carries the energy of fire and passion, creativity and spirituality, yet bears the logic of temperance and sobriety. [Fernie, 170-171][Mella, 73][Eason, 212]

Whether its crystals are left natural, polished as tumblestones, or faceted into magnificent jewels, Amethyst is a gem whose beauty transcends its commonality. It is a variety of Quartz found in many locations around the world, and forms as transparent, terminated crystals of all sizes in geodes, clusters and as long single terminations. It is also found in vitreous masses and polished into wonderful specimens and personal talismans. The presence of manganese in clear Quartz produces Amethyst, while additional amounts of iron vary the purple coloration. Amethyst ranges in hue from pale red-violet to deep violet, and may be transparent or opaque. It is sometimes layered with white Quartz as Chevron Amethyst, found in combination with Cacoxenite, mixed with Citrine as Ametrine, or in rare cases, “rutilated” with Goethite. (See paragraphs below.) [Melody, 109][Hall, 53]

The name Amethyst derives from the Greek word ametusthos, meaning “not intoxicated,” and comes from an ancient legend. The wine god Bacchus, angry over an insult and determined to avenge himself decreed the first person he should meet would be devoured by his tigers. The unfortunate mortal happened to be a beautiful maiden named Amethyst on her way to worship at the shrine of Diana. As the ferocious beasts sprang, she sought the protection of the goddess and was saved by being turned into a clear, white crystal. Bacchus, regretting his cruelty, poured the juice of his grapes over the stone as an offering, giving the gem its lovely purple hue. [Megemont, 24][Kunz, 58-59][Simmons, 28] (See the Legends and Lore section for an alternate version.)

Throughout history the special virtue of Amethyst has been that of preventing drunkenness and overindulgence. Ancient Greeks and Romans routinely studded their goblets with Amethyst believing wine drunk from an Amethyst cup was powerless to intoxicate, and a stone worn on the body, especially at the navel, had a sobering effect, not only for inebriation but in over-zealousness in passion. Catholic bishops also wore Amethyst in a ring to protect from mystical intoxication. Kissing the ring kept others from similar mystical intoxication and kept them grounded in spiritual thought. [Fernie, 169-170][Kunz, 58][Mella, 73][Megemont, 24-25]

Amethyst was also reputed to control evil thoughts, increase intelligence and render men shrewd in business matters. For travelers it was worn as a protection from treachery and surprise attacks, kept soldiers from harm and gave them victory over their enemies. It lent assistance to hunters in the capture of wild beasts and fowl, and was considered to be a powerful psychic stone of protection against witchcraft and black magic. Like other royal stones it protected its wearer from disease and contagion. [Kunz, 58][Fernie, 170][Mella, 72-73]

Sodalite:

This is a strong third eye chakra and throat chakra stone that brings an excellent energy into your life. Within the third eye chakra area is where the pineal gland is located.

To assist with the development of psychic gifts, working within the third eye with Sodalite stone has a strong ability to accelerate the process.

It will aid you to develop your intuition, and it will also stimulate the birth of clairvoyant abilities, or strengthen them if you already are using these gifts.

What’s been going on?

First off I cant believe how many people love and read about my home made goat milker I would like to thank you all so much!!! That’s so awesome!!!

Well let’s see here we got our horses, fenced in some pasture for them. Got things all buttoned down for winter which kinda came today we got a little bit of snow and its supposed to snow more today so we will see. We got the camper/tiny home all skirted in with plywood, a bigger propane tank, and our water situation kinda under better control so our water dont freeze!!! We have been crazy busy!!

Getting water ~off grid

Hi all! Well we are moved into our comfy r.v / tiny home which we are still working on but it’s coming along nicely! So we are now off grid and loving it! So the big question what do you do about water, bathroom, showers? Well if your like us and have a spring then it’s really not to big of a problem but a lot of people don’t have a free flowing spring like we do, but we plan on digging our own personal spring in the next year and I will go more into that later.

So here is our little set up we have for getting water to our place! We bought this pump and hoses from harbor freight for $180.00 and then we bought the container from tractor supply which we paid way to much for and now we are in search of a square tote which u can find for 50.00 to 100.00 and we paid 180.00 for our little 50 gallon tank and the square totes hold 250 gallons so yeah that was a dumb move on our part. So here is how we get water!

So after are tank is full we take back to the homestead and pump into the tiny home where it is hooked to the existing water pump. We hit the pump button In the r.v and it pressures up the whole tiny home hot water heater and is ready to go! If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do the best I can I answer you! Thanks for following and much love!!!!

Here we go

Today’s the official moving day. We are moving to our off grid homestead!!!! I’m so excited I can’t stand it! I’m so tired of the city and tired of worrying about money! It’s TRUE what they say more money more problems. And I’m happy all that’s behind us we only have a year and a half left of big Bill’s then we will be completely bill free! I’m counting down the days and it will go by so fast I’m sure. Thanks for following along! I will keep u all posted as soon as we are moved!!!

Two steps forward 10 steps back!

So we have been busy! Got the homestead homebase all flat got the camper moved up, roof on the camper, then a bear broke into the camper lol lol lucky it didn’t do to much damage. So we started the off grid water venture got everything hooked up and water running!! Well then we woke up to wet carpet! The fresh water tank under the bed decided to spring a leak so back we go To get a new tank! So here is the set up! We go to a fresh water spring and use the pump to pump water into our 50 gallon tank then we bring it back home and pump it into our camper holding tank!!! We have the gray water go into a tote which is hooked to a leach hose so the water is leached back into the ground! After the water tank in the camper is fixed then it’s on to sewer and fixing the bathroom all up!

Turning the travel trailer into a tiny home.

So down the road from where our homestead property is this guy took a travel trailer and turned it into a tiny home so we decided to do the same! So this weekend we built and put a roof on our t.t. now my husband built this all him self and we weighed the options put a new roof on the t.t it’s self (because the center of the original roof is completely rotted.) which would be 3k or put a carport or metal building over it that would be 6,000.00 bucks or build a roof? The building of the added roof won as it was only 1,000.00 bucks!!! So he framed it all up on the ground, used the bobcat and a attachment that he made and lifted it all up their and screwed down the frame of (supports) to the outter edges of the t.t which are the heaviest built so that way when the snow falls the weight will be evenly distributed across the t.t just as it would be without it. And it turned out amazing!

The best pickled eggs

These are by far the best pickled eggs ever and are super easy!!! I always boil my eggs for 30 minutes so the shell comes off easy, and it’s the only thing that has ever worked for me! Boil for 30 then put under cold water. After I shell them I put them in a mason jar, then I add in all the magical left over juices from pickles, jalapenos, pepperchinies and pickled garlic. I pour in equal parts tell the jar is full! Give them about 2 days and bam! Best pickled eggs ever!!!

Rv makeover continued

Hi everyone! Well with a little motivation I finally got the floor laid in the r.v. and it turned out beautiful! Got the peel and stick flooring at Lowe’s for 40.00 a box and I only needed one box and about 4 extra pieces and was super easy to lay down all you need is a box cutter and some elbow grease lol and so far is staying stuck down, I do have a few edges that are starting to lift but I will just put some liquid nails under it and that should hold it!! Next event is the slide out and the bathroom and the roof!!!! Here is the after and the before!!!

Grounding yourself

Grounding also called earthing is an amazing thing! I didn’t know that all these years I have actually been doing something amazing for myself without even knowing! I have been for forever lol a barefoot babe! I hate shoes if it wasn’t for snow I would never wear shoes at all! In summer I am mostly barefoot.

Grounding is a way to connect back to earth, mother nature where we came from. By simply taking time out of your day, slipping off your shoes and walking in the dirt or grass for just an hour can completely change and help your body! It can elevate stress, anxiety, joint and muscle pain, and many many more things!

Our body’s are like what 90% water? Don’t quote me on that lol so by being a high percentage of water which makes us up we also have electricity that runs through us. Since the development and discovery of rubber and shoes to protect our feet we are no longer connected to that electric energy that runs through the Earth and through us causing a blockage of energy . Shoes have disconnected us from that electricity flow so by wearing shoes we have cut off our main source of energy and health and wellness by disconnecting us from Earth I know it sounds completely weird but that’s the way that it is and by taking off your shoes and walking around in the dirt for an hour reconnect us and recharges our batteries, makes us feel better! So have a great day take off your shoes and walk around and relieve some stress and help your body out!!

City life

Ugh I really just hate it! So while we are working on our off grid /homestead, we still have to pay bills, which means we gotta go work, which means we gotta live in the city for about another year and a half then everything will be paid off and we will have zero bills!!! We can totally just make money off of the homestead and live completely comfortable so until then during the week we are stuck in the city. So I have decided instead of paying the money to put in grass and do all the work and pay the high water bill . that it would be better to turn the crappy backyard (cuz it was crappy when we moved in) it would be better to build a garden that way I can start canning food, I can start drying food, I can totally start doing all that stuff and get a head start for when we are finally set up on our cute little Homestead so this is what I did. our backyard was already dirt when I moved in and why put down grass when you can’t take it with you especially if you’re renting a place so here is the start of our awesome little back yard garden. I will probly plant seeds tomorrow!
